A brand born at Sea
As Paul Sperry watched his cocker spaniel, Prince, run across the ice on a winter's day in Connecticut, he noticed his dog's amazing ability to maintain traction on the slippery surface. Turning over Prince's paw, he observed hundreds of tiny cracks and cuts going in all directions. These wave-like grooves became the inspiration for Mr. Sperry's latest patent, called Razor-SipingTM, and were instrumental in maximizing the traction and performance of the Authentic Original Sperry Top-Sider first introduced in 1935. Since inventing the first boat shoe, our brand continues to share our "Passion for the Sea" with those who enjoy the good life in, on and around the ocean.

Directions to Sperry Top-Sider: From Interstate 10 traveling West:
Take Exit #85 South at DeFuniak Springs, which is U.S. Highway 331. Travel left (south) for approximately 23 miles until the junction of Hwy 98. Turn Right (West) onto Hwy 98. Silver Sands Premium Outlets will be approximately 11 miles on the Right side of Hwy. 98, one mile past Sandestin® Golf & Beach Resort.
From Interstate 10 traveling East:
Traveling east, take Exit #70 South at Crestview, which is State Road 85. Drive South to State Road 20 and turn left (east). Continue east on SR 20 East/E John Sims Pkwy. E. Turn right onto State Road 293/Mid-Bay Bridge Connector. Cross Mid-Bay Bridge ($3.00 toll). Head south to U.S. Highway 98, take a left and head east approximately six miles. Silver Sands Premium Outlets will be on the left.
